Could not be bothered getting out of town.. I really wanted to fall in love with Uurnog Uurnlimited; it checks all the right boxes - it has collection, cute artwork, proc gen music, unique gameplay, meaningful local co-op, but... It just wasn't fun. It saddens me to say that, too. After about a half-hour or so, I knew this wasn't going to be for me. We played co-op and we found it just frustrating enough to not want to continue. Essentially, this is a puzzle platformer with a strong collection element. The cube-ish animals you collect are neat. They all have different properties that you can functionally use. I was hoping that collecting them would have had a more potent effect; something more akin to PokeMon, but it didn't. A strong influence was Super Mario Bros. 2, which is quite evident. I guess it's kind of telling, because that was one of my least favorite Mario games.Pros:+Unique gameplay+Proc gen music is a neat addition+Local co-opCons:-Even though it's fresh, I didn't find it fun or compelling-I feel strongly that this is overpriced; I'd think this is a $7.99 kind of gameWatch some videos first, but ultimately I'd wait for a sale or skip altogether.. Originally purchased this game through Humble Bundle, but decided to support the developer once again through Steam (also by writing a positive review). During the first moments of playing, I was a bit confused since this game is not focused on story at all -- and that's what I loved most about Nifflas' previous game Knytt Underground. Soon after I was totally okay with that -- the game is real fun with it's unpredictability, great audio and visual style (worth noting that Uurnog Uurnlimited was nominated for Best Design and Best Audio on IGF), quirky animals and >>EXPLOSIONS<<. I especially enjoyed playing co-op (playing as a DOG shooting FIREBaLLS?? how cool is that??) and exploring the colourful, radiant world of this game. Also it's great how Nifflas experimented with permadeath in a not-really-punishing way while keeping the game challenging.So yeah, I certainly recommend the game, especialy for those who enjoy exploring & exploding!. Not a good co-op experience. Player two is a dog and can't really do that much. Makes the game harder and more annoying.. I love this game. I was constantly discovering new things throughout my entire playthrough. The game's various block\/laser\/etc. systems are unqiue, interesting, and fun to tinker with. The level design is a wonderful mix of exploration, puzzle-solving, and messing around. And on top of all that, the graphics are pretty and the soundtrack\/sounds are unique and pleasant with procedural elements and layering. I highly recommend this game, it's well worth the price!.
